Sharing Good Sharing Music
m-pact brings years of professional experience in the entertainment industry to the class room. With six college careers dedicated to music and music education, m-pact teaches at summer camps and adjudicates vocal jazz and choral festivals around the world. Sharing a natural affinity for inspiring others, m-pact has been a hit headliner of jazz festivals and music educator conventions, such as IAJE, MENC, and many Music Educator Association state conferences. m-pact offers artist-in-residency programs for school or community choral directors and their ensembles. There are currently five components to m-pact’s curriculum: Master Classes A “meet-&-greet the artist” forum, blending brief performance, general history, and individual introductions into a Q-&-A session about m-pact’s music and experience; master classes raise overall community/school music appreciation while energizing choral program participation and increasing membership. Clinics Personalized, detail-oriented instruction and hands-on adjudication of host group repertoire and current musical projects in preparation for events and festivals (NO m-pact singing involved). m-pact’s artist-in-residency programs involve any or all of these five components and duration may range from single-day appearances to an intensive, weeklong “music-camp-on-wheels,” all of which are tailor made for host group or school educational needs. Workshops Selected instructional performances and follow-up discussions designed to target musical and/or non-musical topics needed by and appropriate for your school or community group:
Fundraising Concerts Shared concerts featuring host community or school ensembles and headlined by m-pact. These concerts promote music program support by the greater community. Ticket sale income by students and/or choir members subsidizes other additional m-pact educational program components. Sheet Music Many of m-pact’s arrangements and original songs are available for purchase here. |
